ABOUT MARKET DATA HUNTER
Market Data Hunter is an independent research project built around a simple idea: interesting market claims deserve more than an attractive chart or a convincing explanation.
They deserve clearly defined rules, reproducible tests, honest limitations, and a record that remains visible when the result is inconvenient.
WHY THIS EXISTS
Markets make it easy to tell stories after the fact. A chart moves, a pattern appears, and an explanation quickly follows. The difficult part is determining whether the idea contains information that survives a disciplined test.
Market Data Hunter exists to make that distinction visible. The question is not whether an idea sounds plausible. The question is what happens when its rules are defined and the evidence is allowed to challenge it.
Turn an interesting market idea into rules that can actually be tested.
Look for evidence that could weaken the idea, not only evidence that supports it.
Keep the research record visible whether the result succeeds, fails, or remains unresolved.
THE PROCESS
The research process is designed to make it progressively harder to reshape an idea around evidence that has already been seen.
Development and validation are not the same thing.
Historical evidence can help develop and challenge an idea. Once the methodology is frozen, genuinely new observations can test the version whose rules can no longer move around known outcomes.
Read the full methodologyWHAT THIS IS NOT
Research and tools are built to examine evidence, not to turn every observation into a buy or sell call.
Historical performance and statistical relationships do not guarantee that the same behavior will continue.
Failed, inconclusive, and unresolved investigations belong in the record alongside promising ones.
More decimal places do not remove uncertainty. Results are presented with their assumptions and limitations.
THE RESEARCH RECORD
A research library becomes misleading if only its strongest results survive. Market Data Hunter treats the record itself as part of the evidence.
Published investigations should make it possible to understand what was tested, how it was tested, what happened, and what remains unknown.
That includes ideas that disappoint. Removing them would make the surviving research look more reliable than the actual research process was.

Market Data Hunter tools and research serve different jobs. A tool can calculate historical behavior. A research investigation can ask whether a defined relationship survives testing.
Neither one automatically becomes an investment recommendation.
THE STANDARD
The goal is not to eliminate uncertainty. Markets do not offer that luxury.
The goal is to make uncertainty, assumptions, evidence, and unanswered questions visible enough that confidence has to be earned.
